BOILerMAKER

Job Description:

​

A Boilermaker is a skilled tradesperson who specializes in the fabrication, assembly, installation, and repair of boilers, pressure vessels, tanks, and other metal structures. They work in various industries, including manufacturing, construction, and mining, to create and maintain a wide range of metal components. Boilermakers use blueprints, drawings, and specifications to layout, cut, bend, and weld metal plates and pipes. They operate a variety of hand and power tools, such as grinders, welding machines, and shears, to complete their tasks with precision and ensure structural integrity. Boilermakers are responsible for adhering to safety protocols and quality standards to produce reliable and safe products.

Qualifications:

​

As a certified Boilermaker, you should possess the following qualifications:

​

  1. Attention to detail and precision in work.

  2. Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

  3. Proficiency in MIG welding within a precision fabrication setting.

  4. Demonstrated track record in welding and fabrication.

  5. Comprehensive understanding of the fabrication processes for carbon steel and stainless steel.

  6. Effective time management skills and a proactive approach.

  7. Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety protocols.

  8. Physical stamina and strength for lifting and working with heavy materials

  9. Experience in TIG welding (highly desirable but not mandatory).
